Yumi Sushi & Hibachi

I had never eaten here before so i was unsure at first but when I got my order I knew the sushi was about to be so delicious. I will definitely be a return customer. The tuna cake was my favorite. Especially with the mango sauce it came with. The other rolls are the Okinawa roll (right) and the chef special roll (left). Im just rlly excited to have a really good sushi place in Algiers. Definitely give this place a shot if you want great quality sushi for a great price.

Super friendly service. Great menu. Super fresh and tasty sushi. Highly recommended. May have to go back before we head back home. Try the Salmon Tropical, amazing!!

Me and my family came here on our first day in New Orleans, having just moved that day from another state. When we came in it was just us and a few kids in a corner booth, and the staff welcomed us with open arms. The food was absolutely incredible, and the smoothies were honestly one of the best I think I've ever had. The sushi was absolutely heavenly, we got a kings cake platter and it was so good I think it was nearly the best I've ever had. The atmosphere was chill, even when others came in to order and eat, and the staff were polite, patient, and respectful, and we had a good time talking to them. They even let us bring the heart balloons they put as decoration on the table we sat at home, they are so nice. My family all agrees they want to go there again on birthdays/special occasions especially since we live so close to it. The only complaint there may be would be the cost, but that's barely even a complaint since sushi is well known to be expensive anyways and the serving is plenty for the cost anyways. Overall I genuinely believe that was the best restaurant experience I have ever had in my life at thus far, and for a first impression of the entirety of New Orleans I don't think there could've been a better choice at the time of writing this. I highly, HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking for good sushi and a good time.

Food is exceptionally amazing. I’d say it’s the best sushi in the city. Including metarie and beyond. Whenever I get a rock n roll sushi roll from somewhere else, I’m always so bummed and disappointed because nothing and I mean nothing compares to the one from here.

This place is AMAZING. It is located in Algiers in a small shopping plaza. Don’t sleep on this place. The portions are HUGE, the food is DELICIOUS and their staff is beyond friendly. Check them out, it is so worth it. Definitely going back.

Some of the best sushi we’ve had, and that includes Tokyo and many places in Okinawa! Some of the rolls are combinations that are unique, and this is the only place where the sushi plate does not include a California roll. There is just the one sushi chef, but he is very efficient and everyone’s orders come out either together or in a circle so it isn’t one person with all the food while everyone else waits.

Ordered their Strawberry Bubble Tea, Tempura & Teriyaki Beef Dinner Combo, Tamago, Who Dat Roll & Soft Shell Crab Roll. Their food & service was great thank you so much for a pleasant meal.

Honestly by far the best sushi place I've been too, every item Ive ever eaten here was amazing. The waitress is just the sweetest lady too.
